Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a ride!".

About Me:
Hi there! I’m Robyn - but you can call me Robs.
If we haven’t met yet, welcome to my little corner of the internet. This is where I share the adventures and perspectives from my extraordinary, ordinary life - seasoned with a dash of humour.
I’m not a world-renowned storyteller or an extreme explorer you’d read about in National Geographic. I just love a bit of chit chat. These stories are my way of capturing moments - pressing pause on memories so I can return to them later.
Most days, you’ll find me working under the African sun on our family farm in KZN, South Africa, alongside my trusty assistants… my dogs. When I’m not pruning trees or cowgirling it up with my horses, I’m usually paddling down a river, climbing a mountain, or paragliding off one. My red curls and usually bare feet are something of a calling card - a uniform I wear proudly.
You could say I like to get high - and you wouldn’t be wrong. Almost all my hobbies involve gaining altitude one way or another.
I struggle to pick a lane, which explains the long list of hobbies and the fact that I’m extraordinarily average at most of them. But I love variety. I love pushing myself. I love the stretch of trying something new.
Over the years, I’ve fallen deeply in love with storytelling. My hope is that my writing inspires others to step out and have adventures of their own - regardless of perceived capability. Adventure looks different for everyone. To me, it’s simply choosing to live life as fully as you’re able.
Faith is the most important thing in my life, and I hope that threads its way naturally through my writing. I hold tightly to the promise of Jeremiah 29:11-13:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
And BOY, do I have hope for what’s to come. I know it won’t all be smooth sailing - but I’ve never been a fan of a flat ocean anyway.

So, join me, as we embark on this epic adventure called life!
